By now everyone probably knows the story behind how the Cigar prop came to be so I won’t bore you by repeating the details about our cigar rests.
Over the last year I have gotten a lot of requests for a wooden Cigar rest, and I have always had to explain that I am a metal guy so I don’t know anything about wood. Well……after numerous requests, I figure I should learn about how to make wooden Cigar props. I thought it would be pretty easy since I am familiar with a metal lathe. Oh, how wrong I was.
So what we have here today are the results of my practice. These are actually pretty good if I don’t say so myself.
These are made of American grown Black Walnut and they have been sealed with 6 coats of Danish Oil to preserve them.
Now to tempt you (or is it to bribe you?) to buy one of these so I can make more better ones, I am throwing in one of our Butane Lighter Air Bleed Tools Version 1 with every order.
As you can see by the picture, these are a whole lot bigger than our original Cigar prop.
Remember, I am still learning this whole wood turning thing so remember that when you get your order. These aren’t perfect, but they are pretty bad ass.
