- Cigars & Leisure March 18, 2021
Asylum Cigars has announced the upcoming release of Martes 13. In Spanish, Friday the 13th is known as “Martes 13” and is not on Friday but instead on a Tuesday. In the Spanish culture, Martes 13 is taken very seriously and the phrase is often used to discourage people from doing anything remotely risky on that day.
A popular phrase associated with Martes 13 is “Ni te cases ni te embarques ni de tu casa de apartes”, which loosely translates to: “Don’t get married, or travel, or even go far from home”.
Asylum Cigars is recognizing Martes 13 with a new release named after the day. Asylum Cigars’ Martes 13 will be presented in two different sizes: 4 x 48 Rothschile and a 6 x 54 Toro. Both will come in 5 packs and the blend will feature corojo tobacco that has been aged for 6 years. This cigar is rolled in Honduras.
