Danny Vasquez Start New Job at Baracoa Cigar Company!

From the Ministry of Cigars:

Danny Vazquez reboots The Voyage. In 2016, Vasquez’s Baracoa Cigar Company introduced its maiden cigar, The Voyage. The cigar was made in the Dominican Republic by La Aurora. It featured a Dominican Corojo wrapper from 2011. The binder is Ecuadorian and the filler comes from the Dominican and Nicaragua. Two vitolas were available, a Toro and a Robusto.

Vazquez is a master in the field of social media and The Voyage had quite a following. A following that was in for a rude awakening a year later. Due to the unsure state of the looking FDA regulations, Vasquez calls it quits. Baracoa Cigar Company may have ended, but the voyage in the cigar industry continues for Vasquez.

ROMA CRAFT

Just two months after shutting down Baracoa, Vazquez joins RoMa Craft. As the new sales leader, he is the new go-to guy for all RoMa Craft accounts and he is very active on social media. He was a big part of the online presence of RoMa Craft. Vazquez’s name even showed up on the famous RoMa Craft shirts together with the names of RoMa Craft founders Skip Martin, Mike Rosales, and blender Esteban Disla.

Within days after the ruling of judge Amit Metha in which he says that the FDA can’t enforce premarket review requirements for premium cigars, Vasquez left RoMa Craft. It is unsure if there is any relation between that ruling and Vazquez’s departure. We don’t think so, as things happened too close to each other. But it did lead to some speculation that Vazquez would reboot The Voyage.
