Crucible was handcrafted at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Esteli, Nicaragua. Blended by AJ Feranndez and brand manager Justin Andrews, Crucible features an Ecuadoran Habano wrapper that AJ Fernandez selected to undergo a deep aging process to further develop its bold characteristics. Like the other Elixir blends, Crucible will be a limited-edition release. This full-bodied smoke will be available in just one size–a Toro measuring 6 x 52. The blend features a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers that combine to give Diesel Crucible a unique Central American spice that’s brimming with an array of spices, hints of toasted nuts and a slight hint of nougat on the palate.
“Diesel Crucible concludes the Elixir trilogy on a high note. It’s definitely a full-bodied smoke, and definitely for an experienced palate. But it’s more than that: This cigar takes a sophisticated approach to strength. There are so many intricacies with this blend, it’s like a new experience with every draw. I know you’re not supposed to play favorites but to me, this is the best release of the series,” says Justin Andrews, senior brand manager of Diesel.
Only 3,000 boxes of Diesel Crucible will be released. Diesel Crucible will be presented in a rustic, 10-count wooden box with two compartments, each containing five cigars. This release will begin showing up in retail stores beginning April 26, 2021.
