Peter James Co. Releases New Cigar Blends

Peter James Co., maker of cigar accessories including lighters, cutters and leather cigar cases, has released its own branded premium cigars. The new blends debuted at this year’s Premium Cigar Association (PCA) trade show in Las Vegas.

The company referred to its new premium cigar blends as being a “labor of love.”

“Challenges presented at every turn as we navigated uncharted waters to curate a cigar that represented all that we stand for here at Peter James Co.: honor, integrity, and tradition. From that spawns the desire to stay true to our vision to make superior quality products. The process was filled with many lessons and the result…well, we believe we’ve crafted a special cigar for all to enjoy,” the company stated in a press release.

The blend is a representation of what John Lauren, founder of Peter James, considers to be his favorite cigar: elegant, refined, and suspenseful. The Peter James Los Estocio Habano is a premium cigar blended for the casual cigar smoker. It’s described as being similar to what you may find with your favorite pair of jeans: easy, relaxed, dressed up or down–you know exactly what you’re getting every time you put them on and that’s similar to what you’ll get with this cigar. The Los Estocio is a medium-bodied cigar made in Nicaragua with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, filler tobaccos from various Nicaraguan growing regions, and an Indonesian and Mexican double binder. It measures 5 3/4 x 52 and delivers notes of dark chocolate, hazelnut, and Café Con Leche.

The Estocio Maduro is bolder and more flavorful than its Habano counterpart. Described as being slightly more robust with an elegant body and having notes of dark chocolate, freshly roasted espresso bean, and an earthy finish. The Estocio Maduro is a medium to full-bodied cigar made in Nicaragua. The blend is comprised of a San Andrés Maduro wrapper, Indonesian binder, and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. It is presented in a 5 3/4 x 52 vitola.
