The Cigar Sense Aroma Wheel

Do you use a flavor wheel? I used to make fun of it at one time, but over the last few years, I have found it to be a great tool for helping me identify notes that I couldn’t put my finger (or tongue) on.

From the Cigar Sense website:

The Cigar Sense aromas wheel was created to help fine cigar lovers figure out what they like and do not like in a cigar. This is why it was important for us to focus on aromas as a first step. In fact, many cigar flavor wheels include aromas as well as tastes and tactile perceptions on the same tool. We want to allow cigar lovers to see the differences among the different perceptions, which have a high impact when expressing our liking.

In early 2015, we isolated the aroma descriptors most frequently used by our cigar analysts since the implementation of our methodology, which allowed us to design our aroma wheel.
